Assistant citations can be clicked to make them stay in place for copying the snippet. However, in its current state, it is not immediately apparent to the user that they can be clicked since the cursor is set in text mode.
I see the user hovering over the citations out of curiosity and finding out that they can click on them to keep them in place because of the pointer cursor.
