Kagi supports extensive customization, including bangs, redirects, lenses, and domain up/down ranking. In the context of administrating a Team plan, it is unclear which of these customizations apply to the administrator's account and which apply to all team members.

Kagi should

  • clarify the scope of each setting
  • clearly show which settings are active
  • make it easier for users to adjust the scope of the settings

I would like to see all the customizations in a single view. The scope of each customization is clearly marked, perhaps as:

  • Personal: customizations I created myself and only apply to my account
  • Team Suggestion: customizations broadcast by a Team Owner, on by default but I can turn them off
  • Required by Team: customizations by Team Owner that I cannot turn off

Beyond this, each should have an Active/Inactive toggle. "Required by Team" is locked on.

Upon opening a customization, there is a "suggest to Team Owner" button. Hitting this flags the customization to the team owner, who can approve it, adding to the "Team Suggestion" list.

The "Team Suggestion" workflow here is secondary to the basic scope and activation information.

As I'm now using the new Kagi Teams, this indeed a big issue.

your suggestions sound pretty good ngl.
the major problem right now is that i can't apply changes to all accounts on my team plan. so i have to dial in the settings just right before deploying basically. But that still means adding bangs later on will have to be manually done on each account atm.
So def hope this is going to be improved
