Hitting / (forward slash) should select whatever is in the query field

Now, hitting / (forward slash) will move focus to the query field, but the cursor will be at the end of the query. Usually you want to type a new query, so having whatever is in the query field selected automatically would allow you to type over it at once, instead of needing an extra step to clear the field. With the query text automatically selected, if occasionally you would want to append to the existing query instead of replacing it, hitting right arrow will put the cursor at the end of the query.

Is this still under review? I hope so. I also noted that clicking the text balloon with plus sign button below an answer in Assistant refreshes the window, but enters the previous query in the search field, which is clearly unwanted, as the hover text for that button reads 'new conversation'.

I'd like to see:

Hitting / or the text balloon with plus sign button moves focus to search bar, selecting any text that may be there, so that user can type over it, or hit return to repeat the previous search
CmdCtrl / does the same, also when cursor is in a different text field (now we need to click outside the text field first, or repeatedly hit tab)

what do you mean by this?

Vlad I mean that when the cursor is active in a different text field (so you can't use / to move it to the search field) command or control followed by / should achieve this. But to use motor memory efficiently, command or control / should also work when the cursor is not in a text field, i.e. when focus is on the entire page instead, so the user only really needs to learn command/control / to achieve the wanted result in any situation. Does that explain it?
