Cursor will not scroll to end of search for long queries on Android

Steps to reproduce:
Have a long search on Android. Attempt to move cursor towards end of the search.

Expected behavior:
Cursor moves towards end of search.

What happened? How did it happen? What are the steps to replicate the issue.
If I do a long search string, it is difficult to edit. If I touch and move the text cursor to the end of the input box, it will not scroll over to the hidden text that has overflown the field. If I want to do a subsequent search I can not modify the end, so I have to just clear it out and start over.

Example search string that I tried to modify:
auto changeover thermostat multi zone

This occurs for me in Firefox Mobile 118.2.0 on Android 14 with a Pixel 5.

What did you expect to happen? Describe the desired functionality.
To be able to scroll the cursor over to the end of my search string, so I could append more to it.

How to reproduce: search for a long query (such that it wont fit at the screen), search it. Now try to add a new word at the end of the query, the cursor won't move beyond the screen limit.

This is a very serious bug IMO.

Make a long query in the search bar (e.g. more than twice the length of the bar) on mobile, after seeing the results page, if you try to edit the query beyond the length of the search bar, the textbox is stuck. If you start typing at the end of the line, there is undefined behavior with where the new text is inserted.

Using Firefox on Android on kagi.com.

The expected behavior is for the textbox to scroll horizontally as the text cursor is moved to the end, so that text can be freely inserted.

I have this issue searching Kagi on mobile where i cannot scroll the text I've entered if the value is longer than the input box.

I've attached a screen capture video of this behavior. The issue does not happen on Google in the same browser and device.

Steps to replicate: Go to kagi.com, enter a search value longer than the search box input field. Attempt to scroll within the field.

I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra running Android 13 OneUI 5.1
