Share search feature

How is the Share search feature implemented? It appears to add a key/value pair to the URL query string. Since Kagi does not save user searches, I'm guessing this additional context is used to bypass the paywall so a non-Kagi user can access the service just for that search? It also seems to prevent URL tampering using a hash checksum so if I modify the search query, it redirects to the login page.

Can you confirm?

partlycloudy The share code is secure hash that we check the validity of. We don't store anything for shared searches.
