Trial usage - Over searches

I am currently evaluating the service with the 100 searches/month. So far so good but I am not yet convinced it offers that much incremental value over say Startpage (my current choice)

What happens when I go over 100 searches? Would I get a popup asking me to pay up? Would searches be silently redirected to other engines? Something else?

You are asked to sign up for one of the paid tiers and when you do not you can’t search anymore with Kagi.

Have a look into the help to learn more about the features (https://help.kagi.com/kagi/) which Startpage has not.
