Certain sites like Apple or Tesla don't use TLD's like .au or .co.uk and instead use something like /au or /uk, this seems to cause issues with the region selection and it provides the wrong results.
Steps to reproduce:
- Change your region to a country like Australia or the United Kingdom
- Search for something related to sites without a country specific TLD, e.g. Apple Watch Series 9, Tesla Model 3
- Check the results, they'll have multiple countries that usually aren't the selected country.
Expected behavior:
Search will not show results that aren't related to that region if the result already has one specific to the selected region.
Debug info:
Chrome 117.0.5938.92, macOS 14.0 (23A339), Australia, ASIA-SOUTHEAST
Some of the results in the example image below show that searching for 'Tesla Model 3' is showing results for Tesla US and Tesla AU. This is made even more annoying considering there isn't an automatic redirect or even a message that it isn't the correct location.
Apple has a similar problem, although Apple displays a message when on the wrong region.
