Lenses should allow a higher number of domains [Ultimate plan]

I don't care about this feature, either way.
Just chiming in to say that if you allow different numbers between plans this would be hard to explain to new customers. They don't know what a Lens is or how many domains they'd need. You'd probably need a notification that says "Hey, you've reached the limit of domains for this Lens. If you want more you need to upgrade to Ultimate"

I also request the current lens size to be increased to 20 please. I use Google's programmable search engine to search through current websites till now - https://nikkin.dev/custom-search.html

I started with the professional plan and soon realised that only 10 domains are allowed. And something like 20 sites in a lens would help me ditch Google's custom search engine.

Also, the UI for creating custom lenses could be better. It would be nice to have the text input for sites as <textarea> so that when editing the lens, it is clear which sites are present. Thanks!

Custom lenses have the option to include only results from up to 10 whitelisted sites. I propose this limit be increased. This would make the "lenses" feature far more versatile.

An example of an implementation of this is Google's custom search feature, which allows high levels of customization.

There are a few important considerations that led us to limit the number to 10 websites for now. Expanding beyond this would require non-trivial effort.

What is, apart from the nice UI, the difference between a lens and a pre-filled advanced search form plus "site:domaine1 OR site:domaine2 OR…" in the search field (or directly in the URL) which wouldn't be too hard to emulate client side in the browser without the limitations?
As someone with zero interest in the assistant, I'd like to be able to use the nice lens UI with more than 10 domains. 😄

I’d be interested in creating a lens with various German-speaking subreddits so I could search through all of them. But for that, I’d need more like 20-30 entries.

(Mainly, I wanted to do this to prevent the issue where, when I enter search terms in German, I instead get results from English subreddits that have been machine-translated into German. Any chance to revisit this request? I was reading https://flamedfury.com/posts/how-i-use-kagi/ and they have a large blocklist of the top visited sites. I wanted to give that a try, but currently I'd need to add it to my Personalized Results. I'd rather not have it effect my results globally, and easily switch back if need-be.

Of course this is important, and I cannot think of any "important consideration" to limit the number of websites to 10, that looks like a made-up number (but please list them so we can all understand). For me as well this was a feature that pulled me toward Kagi (search for recipes only on vegan websites, for example).

@Luis I would love for the limit to be increased to 20 at the very least. I've got a list of publications (>10) I regularly read and when I'm trying to find something that I didn't note down I want to be able to find it quickly via a custom lens. Creating two lenses to bypass this limitation feels finicky.
