Add a Section for Problems and Critical Aspects of a Search

One of the most annoying things to do is find a product that suits my needs and later learn through searches such as "<product> problems" that there are many complaints and issues surrounding it.

For example, the Sandisk Extreme SSD has had consistent systemic issues[1][2], but when searching for "Sandisk Extreme SSD", results related to the purchase of this product are shown. This is understandable, but I would like have a part of the page with negative news, that would be great, as I would not have to search for problems and I would not miss large issues with products before buying them.

In fact, a verge post published today complains about Google's Search results in this regard[3]. With "Unfortunately, the broken state of the internet means Western Digital doesn’t have to work very hard to keep selling these drives. Google assumes you’re looking for product pages when you search for things like “4TB SanDisk SSD,” so news stories like ours and Ars Technica’s appear far down search results." I think part of the page with complaints would be amazing.

This is such a great idea. I bought a laptop - of course, searching information about it first - which a year later had a dreadful issue with the hinge. Other people have posted about identical hinge issues online for the same model, I just didn't find those in the results when I was doing my initial research of whether it was a good laptop. Having a heads-up of negative product experiences would be an amazing complement to the current search results which are mostly tech reviewers having only used the product for a short time.

I see two news items about Sandisk failures and at least four more negative results down the page about the same including the stories you point to.

As far as serving user needs, Kagi seems to be doing a good job here notifying the user in at least 6 instances on the main page, pretty high up, results that the product has a problem?

Perhaps I provided a bad example, I just wanted to show that there are systematic issues with companies and that the ability to have that within easy reach would be something I would pay for. To give you a proper example, take Eufy Baby Monitors. They are a company which has been found to lie about privacy and encryption for their camera many times [1-4]. However, a search forEufy Baby Monitors returns no negative information on them, despite the scandals. If I knew about such problems, I wouldn't even consider buying them.

To be fair, searching for "Eufy Baby Monitors scandals" does expose this. Even with this not all bad products have scandals so it is not clear at this point what does the implementation of this look like.

Absolutely, its just a matter of time and work for me, which is why I am recommending it. If it is not possible, I understand.
