Steps to reproduce:
Using the stock iOS keyboard, swiping left or right on the space bar moves the cursor. If you've searched for something, then try to swipe to move the cursor to the end, the cursor disappears if you move it too far. When the cursor disappears, if you try to type anything, nothing will happen. If you swipe back left, the cursor will reappear and you'll be able to move it and type as normal. If you swipe back right too far, it'll disappear again. The only way to get it back is with a swipe left, backspace does not work. Please consult the screen recording for a demonstration of the issue.

Related issue, sometimes swiping left to move the cursor backward will get "stuck" and not move. You can see this happen briefly at 35 seconds in the screen recording. You can probably tell from the recording that I was wrestling with the cursor nearly the whole time, with it jumping around back and forth. It just seems to be really glitchy and makes for a pretty bad experience.

EDIT: Hello, after experimenting with it a bit more, I'm still having plenty of problems with this keyboard gesture, though the behavior has changed somewhat. I've created a new video recording with voiceover to try to better demonstrate the issues I'm currently having, hopefully my explanation is clear enough. If you need any more info please let me know, thanks.

Hello, unfortunately I’m still having the same issues demonstrated in the video I posted

        a month later

I was about to file a new bug report but it looks like it’s related to this one: holding down the space bar to move the cursor to BOL and releasing it makes the cursor jump one position to the right instead of leaving it at BOL. Ditto if I try to tap to BOL.

moto Can you create a new bug report with exact steps to reproduce?
