Adding quotes to search terms reduces relevant results

Search for:
valkyrie no boken game genre
Then search for:
"valkyrie no boken" game genre

Expected behavior:

I would expect that adding quotes around a series of word would priorise results that contain those words in that specific order.
I added quotes around the title of the game valkyrie no boken because I was getting too many results related to its sequels, valkyrie no densetsu.
However, doing so increased the prevalence of results about valkyrie no densetsu and reduced those about valkyrie no boken.
This is the opposite of the expected behavior.

SomeBlueberries From what I see in your screenshot every single result now contains exact match for the 'valkyrie no boken' ?

SomeBlueberries the relevant posts in your first screenshot don't contain "valkyrie no boken", they either contain "valkyrie no bōken" or "valkyrie no bouken", nothing that Kagi could fix.

The search query that returns the best results I've found was with the OR search operator valkyrie no bōken OR valkyrie no boken OR valkyrie no bouken
