The widgets (such as listicles) can already be disabled in the settings. Problem is that it is not obvious to a casual user that the option exists, and if it's only a minor annoyance for them they might just put up with it without looking further into how to disable them. I was halfway through adding a filter for my adblocker before realizing I should check if there is simply a setting to disable the listicles widget.

It would be nice to have a button right there in the search results that either disables the widget immediately or links to the right part in the settings to turn it off (the option could also be behind a "dot-dot-dot menu" to make it look consistent with the rest of the search results page):

I think that is an intuitive place to look for an option to get rid of a widget, especially helpful for new users who are not yet aware of the extensive settings menu.

Andriamanitra Good idea. Perhaps we could add a small settings icon next to the widget name that takes the user to settings.

Vlad Yes, please this is not just a convenience/speed feature since it is not at all clear how to disable some widgets (I.e., what they are called in the settings). For example, I have no idea how to disable the "Code" widget or the answer tiles under some stackoverflow results.

dq9mosBRdjfLjtA That is because there is no option to disable those yet as we do not count them as editable widgets.

I think this would be nice too. I've dug around in Kagi's settings a little bit but glazed over most of what's in there because I don't really have any context.

Having seen some of these widgets, it never occurred to me that I actually would have the ability to disable them since they're forced via Google searches (as far as I've assumed) and so never thought to look for a setting that turn them off.

I'm glad it exists but it would be nice for discoverability if the widgets themselves hinted that they could be turned off
