Just to clarify what is going on here:
What is happening is there is a pre-defined bang !9
which directs you to the site that you landed on. For example, just like !g foo
will search Google for foo
directly without making a Kagi serach.
In Kagi (as well as DDG, where the bang concept came from) the !
can come before or after the trigger name, so both !g
and g!
is valid, as well as !g foo
and foo !g
, etc.
Not entirely clear what change to make that won't also break legitimate use-cases of this syntax. (i.e. people expect foo g!
to work)
We will think about it, but if anyone has some ideas as to what criteria we should apply, thoughts are welcome.
