[Universal Summarizer] Purge Cache and Summarize Again

I accidentally uploaded the wrong file and summarized that, and only upon summarizing it did I realize I uploaded the wrong file. I re-uploaded the file at the same URL and tried to summarize it again, but it only brings up the cached version.

There should be an option to re-summarize if the content changes, like this scenario or a help article of some sort.

keyes You can change the URL for now. Clearing cache is avaialble through the API, we wanted to keep the web app interface minimal.

Having reasonable assurance that content input correlates to the summarizer output seems key, though.
Perhaps Summarizer could compare hash values of the content—or whatever Kagi devs deem a reliable "tell" that the content has changed—before just assuming content is the same and regurgitating the cached summary?

buteo Potentially yes, but cache is only 24h to begin with and is in place to reduce cost/improve speed. As mentioned any serious use should utilize the API which has cache invalidation feature. In reality the content of the URLs do not rapidly change in a 24h time window.
