I'd find it useful to be able to reverse image search from a specific image search result. It goes something like this:

  1. Do an image search for certain keywords
  2. Select an image from the search results
  3. Press a button to search by that image
  4. You're presented with images that resemble the selected image

In a sense, I can do this manually by copying the URL of the image and pasting it into the search box, but a specific button to do this would make it a little easier and save some extra clicks.

Google offers this kind of functionality. It used to be quite prominent, but is now hidden behind the Lens icon on each image:

ldjb Sure, what would the UI for this look like?

Vlad How about adding a "Similar" button alongside the "View Image", "Download" and "Visit Page" buttons?
      Mock-up:

You could, of course, take Google's approach of overlaying a button over the image, though I find that a bit confusing.

I wholeheartedly agree with adding a button in the gallery viewer, but would it be possible to also add the ability to just drag an image from the search results towards the search bar like is done in Google & Yandex?

It's an already established workflow, and saves a few steps when it was your only intention was to find similar images.

Yandex flow for reverse image search is very good. One feature they have which I don't think is found elsewhere is the ability to search with both an image and a string

Kagi provides reverse image search, but it doesn’t integrate well with the regular image search. I suggest adding a button to image search results to easily initiate a search using the selected image.

Currently, if you see an image in the results that you’d like to find more versions of, you have to get the URL of the image, copy it, initiate a reverse image search, paste the URL, and go. It’s annoying on desktop, and worse on mobile. With this button, it would simplify the whole process to a single click/tap.

I suggest adding a button to the image focus view, similar to the Google Lens button in Google Image Search. Clicking on it will instantly initiate a reverse image search using the photo.
