As of now Kagi defaults to displaying a projection of the earth which seems like mollweide or hammer projection. Although these Projections are some of the best we have for displaying maps on flat surfaces, they always include some distorsion. Adding to this, while it is required to project maps to print them on paper, this is not necessary for displaying them on the web, as the globe view in kagi maps demonstrates. As the globe is far more accurate the map should default to loading the globe.
