Kagi Integration for Spotlight Search

From macOS Ventura onwards, one can now use Quick Look in Spotlight to automatically pull up a search box:

At the moment, because Safari doesn't allow you to set your search engine to Kagi directly, it goes to whatever is set in Safari. Is it possible for the Safari extension to intercept those same queries done via Spotlight search?

For what it's worth, I did file a feature request with Apple for more search options in Safari.

You can get this functionality with third party Spotlight alternative Raycast. It might not be exactly what you're looking for, but it's a solution to your issue.
