You suggested using the private session token, so I tried to add a search engine using that to Firefox. However, Firefox apparently has the search engines under strict lockdown, so you’d need a dedicated extension to add a search engine with a custom link, namely this one: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-custom-search-engine/
That was the extension I was talking about in my previous comment. If you know of any other way to add Kagi with the private session token as a search engine to Firefox, then please tell me.
I am of course aware of the Kagi extension, that’s the very thing for which I’m suggesting a new feature: adding the option to either save your login credentials, or your private session token, directly in the extension so it can automatically log you in even if the cookies have been deleted. If that’s already possible, again, please tell me how to do that.
I did add a keyword search bookmark using the private session token URL to my browser, so that is already a bit of an improvement. Still, I’d prefer having Kagi as an “official” search engine installed in my Firefox (without the need to log in every time).
