Provide "Sign in with Google" as an option with "normal" email accounts

I've registered with Kagi using an email address I control (i.e. no Gmail address) since I'd like to migrate away from my Gmail account being a "single point of failure", as there are a lot of stories online about Google closing down Gmail accounts without providing recourse or even just useful support.

OTOH, I still think having the "Sign in with Google" option is a useful feature, and one I'd still like to use. I'd just rather not have it as the recovery channel for my password (and, thus, essentially the entire Kagi account).

Please consider adding the option to register for Google's sign in functionality in addition to my password.

I would add and iterate- allow the user to link / unlink SSO services, as Apple ID, Google / Facebook, linkedin.

Personally, I prefer to login with those accounts, though, I cannot add it (link it) as I created my account via Email & Password.

It seems like a normal industry standard kinda thing these days, to allow SSO sign-in
I recently got help from customer support to enable login via github, but then i can only login via github.
I tried to add a password so that i can login also with my github email address, but then i can no longer login via github:

i was warned that i would be logged out when adding the password, but i was not warned that i would never be able to login via github again.
This was pretty poor UX : (
