Words that share spelling with English but differ in meaning (i.e. false friends) gets interpreted in English, even when input language is explicitly set to something else.
Example https://translate.kagi.com/dictionary?word=be&from=sv_fi
Swedish->English: be (to beg, ask...)
gives primary meaning: "To exist, have a particular identity or nature, or occupy a particular state or condition; in Swedish, vara."
Rest of the output, examples etc. are as if the input was "vara (to be)".
Usually to somewhat work around these kind of things, one can prefix the verb with "att" (to).

In this case we get the correct examples, yes
- Hon lär sig att be på svenska (She is learning to pray in Swedish).
- Det är viktigt att be om hjälp (It is important to ask for help).
...but the translation itself now only picks up the "att" particle:
Primary meaning
- particle standard A Swedish infinitive marker equivalent to English “to,” used before the infinitive of a verb.
This is but one example, but unfortunately I cannot now remember the previous cases
