When using Translate through the Kagi Chrome extension, translation works normally. However, with automatic proofreading during typing enabled in settings, proofreading is extremely slow: it took roughly one minute to proofread about 100 words.
To reproduce:
- Open the Kagi Chrome extension and enable automatic proofreading during typing in settings.
- Enter or type a passage of about 100 words.
- Wait for the proofreading to finish.
The delay makes proofreading impractical; copying the text into ChatGPT and back is faster.
Automatic proofreading should finish promptly while typing, without making the extension feel slower than manually copying the text into another tool.
