I'm testing the newest Kagi Assistant version against Lumo AI in the recent days to test out which one is better for me.
I use the Iphone 17 Pro with the newest IOS and newest Kagi version atm. I mainly use GLM 5.3 Flash, but tried wither others aswell.
I like the principle of Kagi Assistant more and like to be able to choose between models etc., but whenever I use the IOS app something always goes wrong. I feel like there's never a smooth experience. And it doesnt matter which model I choose, so it must be the app itself. Oftentimes when I want to respond to an AI output it says error and i have to restart the app. Sometimes i give it the prompt, it starts working then I switch apps rq, come back a minute after and it says error or it just froze at some step. The freezing happen oftentimes when I stay in app too. All this is extremely annoying when you just want answer, and I even dont say that Kagi is slower with same models as other platforms out of good faith.
All in all, i like the principles and features and everything with Kagi, the lenses etc., but if I cant reliable even get a results without troubleshooting something each time after waiting pretty long, it's not usable in real life sadly.
