Kimi K2.6 is reasoning and is slow

Kimi K2.6 started reasoning ("contemplating") since a update of kagi around 2-3 weeks that bring graphic improvments too.
Also, its sometimes slow to generate the text.
Please don't delete it, its my favorite model.

Kimi K2.6 should not reason or "contemplate".
It should also be fast to generate the text.

Er the reasoning and non-reasoning models were recently merged, and now the default reasoning effort for Kimi K2.6 is Medium.

By tapping the "plus" in the lower left corner of the input text box you can change the effort level.

This is happening for me too over the past 3 weeks - exceedingly slow with Kimi 2.6; thanks MB, I never noticed that feature. However, when I tried it just now it did not reduce the lag - I'm experiencing this on desktop and mobile.

sunthief I just tested K2.6 with effort none and it's stuck at "config". Weird.
