Switching language translation direction wipes translation textarea irrecoverably. Common user story is you paste or start typing your translation input then realize the translation direction is wrong. This is even suggested by the fact that the translation direction control appears under/after the textarea. Upon doing so the text area is wiped.
I expect the input to be persistent regardless of language changes or direction changes.
