Search failing with "We haven't found anything."

Once a day or so, I'll see search results flake out for a straightforward query with "We haven't found anything.". Usually just needs a page refresh to get search results.

This time it seems to be consistently flummoxed by searching for "silent clock", where a page refresh isn't getting past it. Meanwhile the uptime status implies that nothing is currently down.

Are things just flakier now than they used to be?

Refreshed the page just now and it loaded results just fine, so it looks like this was another failed query, with the difference being that it remained broken for longer than usual this time, not resolving for a couple minutes.

Yeah I witnessed that a few days ago.
Web search returns nothing, but image search works fine.
