Default language setting not applying to search

Recently I noticed that overriding from Netherlands to Netherlands changed the results:

And yet, the Netherlands is not very far from the Netherlands. I expect the results to be the same. My results from other searches also got better when doubling up the region setting.

The region set by default should apply by default. I don't know what exactly it is doing now.

How do you do the override?

Does it also happen with NT enabled?

mb I thought NT was enabled. That's what I understood would happen when clicking that link. Then I also noticed this toggle recently. I don't know if that toggle was on or off when I took that screenshot.

However, testing it now, this appears to only be an issue on the non-NT version
