Permit removing password

I've been pretty happy signing in with my Apple ID.

I was excited by the Changelog announcement that I could enable a passkey. It seems like in order to set a passkey up, I had to create a traditional password. I don't really want this on my account (in preference to more modern strategies). I would like my account to only offer the federated mechanism (Apple ID) and the passkey.

Please offer a way to remove a password.

There aren't many, really, but since I have a password, I felt like it was necessary to add TOTP for protection. After I logged out / logged back in with my Apple ID, I got challenged for the TOTP, which is kind of unnecessary (Apple ID has its own, stronger security).

I would really prefer TOTP to only be required when I'm using the password (which I want to remove again, and I'd remove the TOTP configuration at that point too).

The password being required all the time now is due to our mobile apps not being able to use passkey login at the current moment.
Once we update our mobile apps to support this, we plan to add back the option to remove the password if you so wish.
