In order to filter out articles that only feature a filter term in its plural form, I need to separately add the filter term in plural also. This happened with a Dutch word ('eredivisiewedstrijd' - plural ends with 'en'), so maybe this doesn't apply to English.
Use 'stemming' (knowledge about derivative forms of words, like plural and diminutive) for filter terms.
