Islamic prayer times widget in search results

When a user searches for something like "prayer times" or "prayer times [city]," Kagi should show a widget with that day's Islamic prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha), similar to what Google already shows (screenshot attached).

Location handling should work in two ways:

If the user has granted location permissions, use their current location automatically.
If not, fall back to parsing the city/location mentioned in the query itself (e.g., "prayer times Riyadh").

On top of the five prayer times, it would help to show a live countdown (hours, minutes, seconds) to the next prayer, so users can see at a glance how much time is left rather than doing the math themselves.

Typical use cases:

A user searches "prayer times" with location sharing on → widget appears instantly with local times and countdown to next prayer, no need to click through to a dedicated site.
A user searches "prayer times [city]" (e.g., while traveling or checking times for family elsewhere) → widget shows times for that specific city instead of their own location.
A user glances at the countdown throughout the day to plan around the next prayer without re-searching.

To extend usefulness further, it could tie into Kagi's existing Widget feature area:

Let users pick a calculation method (Umm al-Qura, ISNA, MWL, etc.) in settings, since methods vary slightly by region/school of thought.
Optionally let logged-in users set a default city so the widget works even without granting live location access.

A search engine should be equally useful to everyone's god, not just yours.

The moment we pin one faith's prayers to the top of search, we've quietly taken sides — and either we add every other creed's schedule too (and no longer have a search engine), or we don't (and we've got a real problem on our hands).

So: no salah widget, no Catholic calendar, no Protestant lectionary. Not because your prayers don't matter — because that's not what a search engine is for.

Praying stays between you and your faith; search stays between you and your facts.

Leave Kagi alone with your muslim stuff and use google if they have that - good on you!

yes, we cannot add every religion, after all, I don't know if neo Satanists will be able to add it until their celebration. However, it does not prevent a person who tries to understand the times of the religion that billions of people believe in, or how much the evening adhan is recited for fasting during Ramadan, from using it. The same can be done for many people in Christianity or other religions.

shurik they can still stay neutral and add this since only 1 religion really requires it. That’s like saying you can’t add a widget to look up if iOS IPSW files have expired because that would be supporting iOS over android when no, it’s just android doesn’t have anything similar to that so just implementing an iOS version is not supporting it. Very weirdly specific example but I couldn’t think of another one.

Also isn’t the goal of a search engine to be more helpful? Implementing this would be helpful.
I’m not saying this because I’m Islamic (I’m an atheist) but Kagi isn’t supporting the religion over others by adding this.
