I would LOVE to be able to globally exclude any/all sites with paywalls from my search results. Its nothing but a waste of my time to click on a result, only to have it behind a paywall. Excluding sites manually is play whack-a-mole with the problem, it would be better to simply ignore them all, then have a 'pre-approved' list for the few paywalled sites that a user does happen to have access too - in other words, the exact opposite as it stands now.
Simple. Unless a paywalled site is in the user's pre-approved list, it is ignored and not shown in search results - saving users time and aggravation.
