Image search as default

I'd like to be able to set image search as default, as images are much more useful to me than words when I want to find an answer and know what something is. I'm using Safari.

Other users maybe would like to have the Videos tab or any other section as their preferred default. Maybe we could select "Web / AI / Images / Videos / Maps / A lens" as default, since people have different ways they find information with Kagi.

If you navigate to https://kagi.com/images, the search will default to images.
If you type your query in https://kagi.com, then click the "Images" tab from search options below, it will take you to image search results
I think the other sections will behave in similar fashion.

You can also configure any bang to be the default search (but needs some initial config)
(You can also add any custom bang, so you can make any URL template the default search)

The menu UX is still in development, but typing !iWwr then ENTER should set Kagi images as the default search bang. (You can also tap the equivalent buttons on the right, like W)

leftium Yes, those are all good suggestions. But I'm a frequent user of the MacOS and iOS (Safari dependent) function of right clicking any text anywhere and having "Search the Internet" as a context menu option.

It is mainly because of this. I can't add custom search engines or bangs to the default Safari search, AFAIK. That would otherwise have been my first solution.

Now I understand what you want to do. I was able to add a custom context menu using Automator:
