Allow making Kagi Assistant the Default Digital Assistant on Android

If you set Kagi Assistant as your default digital assistant then you can bind it to your asisstant key (or power button long press).

I believe there might be some special rules and requirements for it (I believe the app gets access to the content of the screen, which you might want to use in Assistant anyway), but somehow Firefox is an assistant, and all they do is focus the address bar 🤷

I second this, this unofficial app had it implemented and I think something like this could be nice.

80posustok43 I'm using Assistant App Launcher at the moment to make Kagi Assistant the default assistant. All it does is open Kagi Assistant and it requires 0 permissions:
