When I search for images the past week or so, it has been much slower than it used to be. Some images don't load at all. This happens on all devices.
After running some tests, it seems to only affect my region, US-Central. If I turn on my VPN and choose Los Angeles (not even close to my Indiana home), it gets much faster.
Images should all load, and it should only take a few seconds.
