I don't use any of the Kagi apps. Sad to see that they still continue with this pointless and completely artificial GMS dependency. Truly puzzling when you think about what the company stands for. This artificial block can only be bypassed with root or by patching the APK. Both aren't acceptable options for most users.
You are better off using Kagi News in the browser. The same goes for all Kagi services.
