Requesting the "Clear" button be complemented or upgraded to support "Reset All" behavior. This feature would clear both the input text and reset translate settings in a single step. This would require only a single step (one button click) instead of the two that is currently required. This should not completely replace the current "Clear" feature: reusing custom translate settings is still a valid workflow.
The "Clear" button (visible only when there is text in the input field) removes all text in the input field. However, it does not reset any custom Translate Settings which may be set. When custom Translate Settings are in effect, the "Translate Settings" button is highlighted with a yellow border (on desktop). Nevertheless, it is easy to miss or forget to reset these custom settings when clearing input to begin another translation, whose text may be completely unrelated to the previous translation context.
Properly resetting these settings is currently a two-step process: open Translate Settings, then click the small "X" button in the popup. If we include clearing the input, it's three steps total. Having a proper one-step "Reset All" button would provide a reliable and convenient method to return to a true clean slate for new translations.
Note: on the Translate mobile app, the Translate Settings button has neither the highlight nor the reset button.
