The collapsible proofreading toolbar in Kagi Translate disappears when the collapse button is clicked, but no expand button appears to bring it back, permanently locking the toolbar (and all its tabs: Style, Corrections, Tone, Voice, etc.) in a hidden state for the current session.
How did it happen?
The rightmost button on the floating toolbar ('v" or arrow down symbol for collapsing) hides the panel, but the UI fails to render a corresponding expand/show control afterward. This leaves the user with no visible affordance to restore the toolbar.
Steps to replicate:
- Open Kagi Translate and switch to Proofreading mode.
- Paste or type text into the input area.
- Wait for the proofreading analysis to complete and the floating toolbar to appear.
- Click the rightmost collapse button (downward "v" chevron) on the toolbar.
- Observe that the toolbar collapses, and no button, icon, or edge trigger remains to expand it back.
After clicking the collapse button on the proofreading toolbar, I expected a visible expand/show button to appear—such as an upward-pointing chevron, a slim floating handle, or a persistent icon at the edge of the screen where the toolbar had been. Clicking that button should immediately restore the toolbar with all tabs (Style, Corrections, Tone, Voice, etc.) intact and functional, without requiring a page refresh.
The toolbar should collapse and expand reversibly: when hidden, a clear expand button or handle must appear in its place to restore the panel with all tabs intact—no refresh required.
