Custom CSS not working in new assistant

Custom CSS is not applied. I don't believe it's a scoping issue as I applied eg

body { background: red !important;}

And I don't see anything in the dom or inspector about my css.

I didn't see any announcement about this? And this announcement from this month literally says:

"Inspired by iOS 26's "Liquid Glass" aesthetic, this theme gives Kagi Search and Assistant a sleek, translucent glassy makeover"

But the linked theme is for the legacy assistant.

Personally quite maddening not to be able to apply a simple universal background change to visually separate Kagi pages (ALL Kagi pages!) from a multitude of other dark backgrounds across my mobile/desktop landscape.

Really hope this is done sooner rather than later. Don't need anything more complex than what I just described, but separate custom CSS theming for Kagi Assistant would be even better. If we were shooting for the moon, I would have separate CSS theming for pretty much every Kagi product, but I realize that most people are not the same kind of color-coding lunatic that I am.

P.S. If I say I'm an Ultimate subscriber, do I sound like a Karen?
