I have created a search assistant that is supposed to limit its searches to the academic field; I have selected the filter called ‘academic’. (the 1st model selected was gemini 3.1 flash) However, when I run the assistant, it performs a standard search and includes websites that are not at all related to the academic field. I do not encounter this problem when I use the filter directly on the search engine.
Edit : it seems to work when using another model like deepseek V4 flash or after the acedemic lens is selected in kagi search
The assistant must limit its web searches to the scope of the filter selected on the assistant’s configuration page
