When searching for queries that include any mention of a language, specifically queries starting with “what is”, the auto-translate feature inappropriately triggers and attempts to “translate” the text, in my case from English… to English.
This is a negative experience for paying subscribers, especially on devices with limited page sizes such as a smartphone.

Please fix the bug such that auto-translate only triggers when the query context clearly and explicitly requests translation of text that is not the user’s default localization/language, or provide a toggle to disable auto-translation entirely at the user-level. It is only useful to a small demographic, and will never be useful to me. If I wish to translate text, then like the majority of people I will navigate explicitly to the Translate feature. Much like AI slop summaries, it is not - and never will be - welcome in general search results.
