I want a pure semantic search assistant. I am not interested in a sycophantic, engagement oriented ai slop machine. The old assistant did not bury responses in simpering rhetoric, and would allow me to just refine my search.
Google is dead, SEO/AEO is horrendous and they are now actively trying to outsource thought. I want to refine a kagi search without being buried in "you're so smart", "really good point", "here is 15 links to something never asked about".
The key to research is finding the unknown unknowns, and that can only happen when something does not just vomit random information with the hopes of seeming like it is being helpful.
