Dark mode not persisting across sessions in assistant

Kagi assistant does not use my global dark mode settings for kagi. I have to manually set it in assistant preferences. And when I do, it only lasts for that session. If I close the browser and start a new session, I am in light mode again. I'm using firefox on Linux and haven't tested this on other platforms. yet. I believe I switched to the kagi assistant bet a few weeks ago but I can't remember for sure, and if I have, I can't tell the difference with what it was before with the possible exception of this bug.

I expect assistant to inherit my kagi appearance settings. Barring that, I expect that when i set dark mode explicitly in kagi assistant, it should persist between sessions.

I am seeing this behavior on Firefox 151.0.2 on desktop Linux.

The setting persists if I clear my cookies, but it resets to light mode if I clear local storage, which I'm doing via the following extension:

I would expect the appearance preferences to persist with my account and not as a local setting.

It sounds like this may have been fixed for Orion, but not for other browsers?

It looks like the setting is getting set in a local sqlite database in storage:

storage/default/https+++assistant.kagi.com^userContextId=1/ls/data.sqlite
