draecas Searching for "Tying" provides a Words API definition up top. Screenshot attached. It's using the word "tying" in its own definition, and mis-identifying a verb as a noun. That I not be given slop definitions of words
igakagi It seems to be giving you the first definition from here: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/tying It's not "slop" exactly but it is a rather obscure/archaic usage. If you're looking for definitions though, I'd suggest going straight to Wiktionary. (Or if you're really serious, see if you can get access to OED through your library)
