If we look at Macedonian, which also uses a Cyrillic script, we get a repeated Cyrillic script entry and not a transliteration underneath.

A quick check shows this also applies to: Bashkir, Bulgarian, Chechen, Mongolian, Serbian, and Yakut
Working correctly are (for example): Belarussian, Komi, Russian, and Ukrainian.
