What happened? How did it happen?
Some days ago, I reported that Qwen3-235B suddenly disappeared: https://kagifeedback.org/d/10371-qwen3-235b-reasoning-removed-or-otherwise-unavailable
Since then I transitioned to GLM models 5.0 and 5.1. The 5.0 one was good compromise between cost and quality and the 5.1 variant is better for more complex tasks, but it's more expensive, so I couldn't use it as my default. But suddenly now, without notice the glm 5.0 is no longer available and my custom assistant displays an error:

To give credit, when I hover over the triangle, it now suggest that I should switch to qwen 3.6 plus, which seems like a good suggestion I have to try.
But this still breaks my daily workflow because my custom assistants do not work. Those now rely on a gone model. I probably need to readjust my custom prompts, so they work well with another model.
What did you expect to happen?
Describe the desired functionality.
First of all I'm expecting the models I'm building workflows on to stay available, unless otherwise announced beforehand. For me the Assistant is a tool. It doesn't have a beta label, so I expect I can rely on the workflows I build on it. If the models depend on a third party, their availability probably should appear on status.kagi.com. I probably should receive a notification if an Assistant model I've previously used or have in my custom assistant is being deprecated.
I'd love to be able to rely on Kagi Assistant for my work, but that's hard if the models keep disappearing like that. There's a reason why people choose Kagi, on the kagi.com landing page it says: "With Kagi, you regain control with a cleaner, faster web where your privacy comes first". Right now I'm not in control of my workflows breaking. And it really doesn't make sense that the list of Assistant models with the best privacy rating keeps getting shorter and shorter. Personally I'd hope Kagi aiming to have the best selection and uptime for privacy first AI models.
