Roll over Kagi Assistant left over usage spending to next month.
For example - I pay $10/month, now excluding 20% Kagi's margin leaving me with $8, suppose I only use $2 worth of Kagi Assistant in a specific month, will the remaining $8 worth of usage spend roll over to second month so I can use a total of $16 worth of Kagi Assistant?

Now I do understand there are some caveats to this,

For example, If a user maxes out it's Kagi Assistant monthly quota, it makes Kagi lose money since then Kagi is the one paying for searches made by Kagi Assistant and manual searches made by user.

But how about, if we calculate $4 for approx 300 searches (from Starter pack pricing) on top of $2 margin, totalling $6 dollars, we'll still be left with $4 worth of Kagi Assistant usage paid by me going to dumps.

Now here is my concern, I'm a student, I don't usually use Kagi Assistant 24*7, but during exam month, I need to use Assistant a bit, but it quickly reaches it's monthly limit which makes me paying for Kagi impractical. I could just save all the money while using something like Brave and DuckDuckGo search and use that money to pay for something like Gemini, ChatGPT or heck even Duck.ai premium or Proton lumo or even confer.to premium for just that month to study / resolve doubts / get help while preparing for my exam.

I believe we can add this roll-over primarily in two ways,

Set maximum month i.e. Only last 6 months of left over usage can be added, which in my case those extra $4/month = $24 does add up.
Or you can have as many month of left over usage as you want or maybe have something like 12 months (a year) which is still a pretty long time but not indefinite.

In both cases, all the remaining usage will reset once your subscription ends, if you don't renew.

Or if not for $10 plan, you have to agree it does make a lot of sense for the $25 plan and even though it will not help me directly, this should be something implemented on the $25 plan.

Let's first exclude your 20% margin, leaving us with $15.
Not let's also exclude $8 which offset all the search user and Kagi Assistant will do (based on the Professional pricing), giving us guaranteed $7 if users don't use AI at all or less if user use a only bit of Kagi Assistant.

For example, let's suppose user use $2 worth of Kagi Assistant in a month, it would still leave $5 worth of Kagi Assistant usage that can be roll-over to the next month.

Here also, those $5 does add up quick, $30 in 6 months or even $60 for a year that can be continued to roll over, until the subscription ends and user doesn't renew.

@unknow, if your monthly usage fluctuates significantly, you may wish to consider purchasing an annual plan (which includes a 10% discount). With an annual subscription, you receive the entire 12-month collection of AI usage credits at the beginning of the year, and have the flexibility to budget and spend them across months as you prefer. Any unused credits are forfeited at the end of that year, however.

With respect to the proposal to rollover unused AI credit from one billing period to the next, I am not optimistic that Kagi will ever do so because the company's incentives are not aligned with customers' incentives, contrary to the company's claims. More specifically, Kagi is financially motivated to have customers spend as few AI credits as possible, since the unused credits are absorbed by Kagi as 100% profit.
