Redirect to first result bang no longer working if preceded by a space

Previously searching for "test !" would redirect to first result.

https://kagi.com/search?q=test+!

https://kagi.com/search?q=test+! should redirect to https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/test

For me its not working at all.

I found the issue, we'll get this hotfixed asap.

The backslash-before-query is also broken: https://kagi.com/search?q=%5Csimple

nemo-lm What does the backslash do? Redirects to first result (like ! bang)?
