The number of threads, particularly project-related threads which I cannot delete until those projects are completed, are quickly mounting in my Assistant interface. At the same time, navigating these threads and trying to find past information that I know was outputted, but do not know in which thread and where in that thread it was outputted, is becoming increasingly difficult.
Searching through thread content is less intuitive than searching through equivalent saved files on my own devices, particularly when I am the one creating those files and inputting text myself. It is easier, in this case, to remember what to search for. In the case of Assistant threads where one just remembers that a piece of information does exist, what its use is, but not what its exact text is, that becomes more difficult.
I thereby suggest a kind of meta-search function across Assistant threads, where a user can instruct an LLM the type of information they are looking for alongside specific parameters (e.g. timespan, within specific tags, etc.). This could also, in a way, be achieved through a traditional integrated search engine function.
