I'm someone that doesn't like to be reminded of the world of AI for a variety of personal and ethical reasons. I get that people rely or like using AI in their daily life, and that's fine for me in a sense that i can't do much about it anyway. However, i would appreciate a no-AI mode for those who really don't want to be reminded of that reality.
In my vision, users would go into their Control Center or in the settings under the point "Account" and would find an entry with a toggle called "No-AI mode", that allows user to do the following to their Kagi experience:
- Removes the menu option "AI" and the "AI Usage (USD)" bar in the settings
- Removes "Assistant" and "Summarize" from the quick menu on kagi.com and other places
- Removes "Continue in Assistant" when clicking the three-dot icon next to search results
- Shows a screen warning if you directly access Kagi's AI-related features, f.e. via URLs, with a button that allows you to make a one-time exception in the form of a "Access it anyway" button.
This toggle should be reversable in the events that someone changes their mind. This should affect the experience on a account-level and shouldn't require any additional work in browsers or apps.
