Currently, as a user moves through image selection on the search interface — either by swiping on mobile or using the arrow keys on desktop — the search interface itself does not move correspondingly. By this I mean that a user could move through 50 images by swiping/arrow keys, but when clicking off that 50th image they would simply be shown the top of the image search page. This feels unnatural and when I click off the image I feel "lost" and unable to find the image I was just on.
Google implements this desired behaviour, although their search interface (both on desktop and mobile) is different in that the selected images a user moves through by swiping/arrow keys do not fill the entirety of the page. Regardless, I feel that the image search interface on Kagi should at the very least auto-scroll to the position on the search page where the currently/previously selected image is on. Whether that image should be highlighted and how it should be highlighted is a separate question.
