UI additions that make life easier.
While I was customizing my search results page through Kagi Settings, I had to hop back and forth between the setting and refreshing a search result page to see how it affected my UI.
For example, even though "URL Placement: Alignment of search result URL" is very clear, I had to test it to see how it really looks. This back and forth hopping is obviously not convenient for the user.
Although this situation is likely to be witnessed once (first time using the service) and occasionally, I have a simple cool idea to make life easier: demo preview images under each setting (as relevant) showing how it is supposed to affect the UI. This is especially nice for things like Verbatim Mode, Result Snippet Length, Grouped Results (which I was unable through testing to find out what it does 🫤), etc.
Another really cool idea, is to have a 'Preview' tab or menu item which simulates how your search results would look like (on desktop and mobile) for your current settings. This is really nice as I don't have to fire a single search and/or hop between browser tabs to find out what a setting does.
This applies to many settings tabs like Appearance, Search > General, Search Widgets, etc.
Inline documentation is certainly easier than external docs too. Another idea, also good, is to have a ⓘ link besides each setting that leads you to a documentation page with all the info (and demo images) for that item (could be a section in a larger page).
